Q: our flush valve runs for over one minute and more than a gallon is there an adjustment to the run cycle to save water?

If this Zurn Flush Valve is running on longer than normal, it is most likely caused by a defective Diaphragm.

There is no adjustment. You can try to clean the small bypass hole near the edge of the diaphragm. If that doesn't work, we recommend replacing the diaphragm kit.

Replacement Diaphragm Kits:

EWS-0.5 GPF = Part #107739
WS1-1.0 GPF = Part #107740
WS-1.5 GPF = Part #107741

A: It may be that you have low water pressure going to your valve; the valves operate best between 30-70 PSI. If pressure is not an issue then it may be that you have the wrong gallons per flush diaphragm in the valve; the diaphragm GPF will need to match the GPF of the porcelain in order to provide the correct amount of water through to flush.
